I am currently sitting in front of my computer drinking coffee, eating homemade bread and jam while watching episode 1 of The Flight Attendant. In a couple of hours I will get up very slowly, make another pot of coffee and watch episode 2.

Life is good and I am enjoying myself.  But why we are bothering with the cottontops first, when there are generations of youngsters with their lives before them, is beyond me

The original whinge was of course that there was limited evidence it was effective against my age cohort because the group of murderers political prisoners and homosexuals rounded up to test it on included few of my age.

The problem with those protests is that unlike the common practice with flu jabs of targeting different mixes at different age ranges there was no such variation mentioned in the research I read.

Given the stunningly obvious fact that my age group are not obviously differently impacted on exposure to this pox compared to younger people, which we surely should have seen some measure of were the mechanics or molecular science different for our age group, I struggle to see how "we've only tested this on blokes a bit younger than you" becomes "it's pointless giving you this as it won't work for someone your age"

Moving on to the blood clots. I understand the molecular basis on which this might be an issue. The INR blood test to determine susceptibility takes ten seconds using a test strip not a million miles in appearance and test protocol from the kind used for blood glucose, except that you need a blood sample about three times the size. If vaccinating everyone is so important, do a bloody INR Test first and stick the susceptible with an anticoagulant jab. Yes it ****ing hurts and you really need to make sure you don't bump your head for two days but that's it ...
