No you're clearly wrong.
Clearly not if it was mute.
Surrounded by water it could be a moat point but it's usually moot.

I then moved on to say the girl in the video (In JOG's post#2) that she mentions also drivers. I never said that IRL wasn't experiencing driver issues. You took 1+1 and came up with 3. Your clearly wrong.

QuoteIt's a mute point anyway. I've said it in here somewhere.

John is indeed.

However , you brought the 100 000 drivers quote into your reply , as well as saying ambiguously Ireland isnt seeing any of these issues , hence this is what prompted my reply to you and your bullshit implication.

No I clearly said IRL didn't see the issue JOG had mentioned -- Containers. I added IRL wasn't also seeing paperwork or export delays.

It's a mute point anyway. I've said it in here somewhere. The UK is seeing more issues because of Covid and Brexit. Covid will go but brexit is around for a long time, then something else will come to replace covid and that coupled with brexit will be worse for the Uk than others. How long will brexit be, how many decades ? I'd only be guessing. Rees Mogg suggested 50 yrs, so 5.

JOG is talking particularly about container issues, not drivers.

The UK has more issues than other countries because of brexit, it's why the issues there are worse.

Precisely.

Ireland not seeing these issues and we dont have a land bridge like the UK. She talks of paperwork and delays for exports. Wait till next month when the UK starts their import checks, paperwork, customs delays. The UK since brexit just opened the front door and anything and everthing from the EU can come in with zero customs checks "taking back control"
She talks about not being able to get foods delivered, 100,000 missing truck drivers, i suppose thats the chinese fault also ?

and i simply replied to you with a link , that ireland IS seeing issues  ,specifically mentioning lorry drivers.

You didnt JUST mention container issues , you clearly linked in 100 000 lorry drivers to brexit , which was the bit i took aim at.

Lets look at this in a bit more detail, my reply above was to this post from JOG

Lovely bit of misdirection there.
No mention of the upending of the container business thanks to trade being disrupted by the whole world being locked down and every f**king one of them being grabbed by the bloody Chinese

JOG is talking particularly about container issues, not drivers. It is he who is saying the issue is the Chinese taking all the containers. I said Ireland didn't see those issues, which I go on to explain beside containers are paperwork and delays for exports. These are the issues that IRL are not seeing. That's what I said

I quoted the woman in the video, that she also blamed in the UK the lack of drivers. Thats Drivers, paperwork, containers, export delays. I never said Ireland hadn't an issue with Drivers, you took two separate points and tried to meld them together. The UK has more issues than other countries because of brexit, it's why the issues there are worse.

Well that didn't take long, do you not check before posting, or are you only interested in what sits well with your narrative.

Beef sales to the UK have fallen but increased to EU & North America, overall exports of beef this yr are down 1% on last yr. That's very different to what you were saying. The increase in BEef sales to the EU is greater than the loss in sales to the UK. It's great being a member of the EU.

Overall exports of beef, by volume, were down one per cent to 185,000t during the first five months of the year compared to 2020, according to the Bord Bia presentation to the Beef Taskforce.

Irish beef sales to the UK dropped from 88,400t in 2020 to 78,500t this year, while exports to Asia fell from 21,000t to 15,000t during the same period.

Exports of Irish beef to EU member states totalled 81,500t up to the end of May. This was an increase of 13,000t on the same period in 2020.

1% down for a 5 month period so if the trend continues that's 2.2% for the year (based on 2020). How did 2020 do, that is the question.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Say what you like, I never said brexit was finished, brexit has only started, I've said that prob hundred's of times on here, and like your previous post, which I will now reply to, I'll demonstrate how you can't follow simple comments and twist to see what you want.

aye you did gerry. Another old conversation between us , and on the old forum i even quoted the post you said it in. I personally couldnt care less wether brexit is or isnt finished , its just your laughable twists and turns over the subject to suit each developing situation that has me in stitches.

That talks about beef exports to the UK were down in January, after the UK stockpiled in Dec last yr. Overall beef imports down from 26,000T to 16,000T. SO what happened in Feb through to Sept ? or would that have shown a better picture ?
What about other markets the Irish are selling into ?
I'll do a little research and come back to this, but this is a very selective propaganda story your trying to spin.

Same place your beef markets come from. You stated quite adamantly that Ireland would find new buyers over night, they haven't.
