Not sure if quackers has one but even NBC News had to admit that 19% of Brits polled had a POSITIVE impression of Trump

It works both ways. Most British people had strong opinions on Trump and weren't afraid to express them. About 99.7% of British people think Trump was awful.

No it doesnt.

People anywhere can have any opinion they wish , and should be free to express it.

...but we are talking about a head of a country interfering in other countries affairs( scot indy  , brexit , ukraine and many more) , while at the same time bleating about the russians and chinese allegedly interfering in theirs , then in my opinion this is wrong.

Quote from: T00ts on September 22, 2021, 09:27:20 AMWhy? Why should we be seen to kowtow to American sentiment? Was it Obama who had the temerity to 'advise' us on how to vote in the Brexit debate? Blair followed the US like a little puppy dog let's not get duped again.

I genuinely did not know. I have has this problem on the forum before, people using nicknames I have never heard of, and frankly there is no reason I should, most of the forums I use are specialist. Not the shouting match in the pub like this one has unfortunately turned into.

That is because I made them up. But it is blatantly obvious whom I was talking about, and I think you knew too, but just pretended ignorance for the purpose of trolling the thread. I am beginning to learn that what others say about your modus operandi sadly appears to be true.

It is you who needs ignoring. I politely ask a legitimate question and get subjected to a torrent of abuse.

We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

Why does westminster do this barry?

In my opinion , its simply typical westminster delusion  , treating the independent irish as though they are citizens of the uk.

Its as if they havent got over irish independence 100 years ago.

Or the fear that they might come back.

The UK gives Ireland Home Rule in 1912, but the Micks  aren't very bright, don't notice it and stage an uprising four years latter. So then the UK shoots Paddy Peas because he was a humour free waste of space and if the British hadn't the Irish probably would not have. And then the Irish decide to have a peace conference and a civil because that is the sort they do. And the British say tell you what, give us a couple of bases and the Irish say no, have six counties full of religious nuts instead. And finally we reach the 1960s and the Troubles and the British try to do the decent thing by sending regiments of Scottish Catholics to kill the buggers but still they moan.

The problem is not Independence for Ulster. It is that the bastards won't go away.

I have heard you use the term spafwaffle for johnson many a time , and starmer is regularly called wet lettuce , wet blanket etc etc on social media.

This forum was the first time I had ever seen them used. (I don't use twotter or farcebook.)

Steve , dont humour him. He is simply trolling and diverting the thread as normal , and as such should be ignored.

I think we already honour Ireland enough. We give their citizens the same rights as ours, including voting rights if the live in the UK.
