If the virus is left to run rampant in the developing world where much of our food and other raw materials and general commodities are produced and sourced, what exactly do people expect to happen?

It seems that Covid has had a massive impact world wide.
Seems pretty conclusive to me.

COVID-19 impacts have led to severe and widespread increases in global food insecurity, affecting vulnerable households in almost every country, with impacts expected to continue

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

It's lack of leadership that is affecting the USA.
Joe Biden's policies, or lack of them, the fact that he is invisible and his head seems to have turned to mush account for his poor approval ratings:

I don't think Biden being a silly old fool is responsible for that outlined in rhe OP.

Trouble is the prices go up and never back down again.

They do like to blame brexit though,Felixstowe full up....brexit, food prices up.....brexit gas? Really.
funny thing is not that long ago they couldn't sell crude oil now petrol and diesel at an all time high but did it drop when they couldn't sell crude.

It's the easy hat to stick on every issue.

I would say so toots. I think the more reasonable minded among us ( remember , i voted remain in 2016 ) are beginning to see that .

Major issues worldwide that is creating the perfect storm , not least of which has been covid.

..but when the worlds number one superpower is having major issues regarding food supply  then we can all see how pitifull certain posters screaming "brexit" at every opportunity really are.

This leads me back to what i was saying earlier to my friend quack quack about getting back to normal and rolling up our sleeves and getting on with things.

If we dont try and normalise covid , we are simply going to keep spluttering from one disaster to the next.

Grocery store shoppers sound off on surging prices

DC suburban shopper tells Fox News, 'Can't afford half the stuff... it's outrageous'

Shoppers in a Washington, D.C., suburb reacted to surging grocery prices amid supply-chain bottlenecks and rising inflation.

"Can't afford half the stuff... I think it's outrageous," one shopper in Lanham, Maryland, a city 10 miles northeast from the district, told Fox News.
"It's crazy!" another woman leaving Costco said.

why isnt geraldine and pappysmurf on here demanding sumfing is done in america?

A billionaire grocery-store owner predicts food prices will surge 10% over the next 2 months

John Catsimatidis, the billionaire supermarket owner, has predicted that food prices will spike 10% in the next two months.
Catsimatidis, the owner and president of the New York City supermarket chain Gristede, told Fox's "Mornings with Maria" that food prices were "going up faster than anybody expected."
"I see over 10% in the next 60 days," he said, per a Fox Business report.
He didn't specify how much would be passed onto shoppers, but said he was "concerned" that people are paying more.
Prices of food are spiking because, in part, of falling production, caused by a shortage of workers and supply-chain problems such as shipping delays. This is paired with increasing consumer demand.

why is it we never hear all these remainer twats on this forum constantly talking about the same problems in other countries?

brexit brexit feckin brexit , its become a bit of a parody now listening to the worlds woes getting blamed on the same thing time and again.
