Don't forget that after the initial scare, which I did believe, it was pretty obvious only the elderly and already ill were at risk. Closing schools was always a questionable tactic. I could understand if it were to protect vulnerable teachers, but they could have stayed at home.
We need to bear in mind that the schools were always open for the children of key workers.
Totally agree barry. Its just intersting seeing the re writing of history beginning , as labour and others start coming out the woodwork denying things they have said or done.

I wonder how long its going to take before many others start to realise they have been had over the last two years.?

By that , what i mean is covid is real , but the restricitons and the way they dealt with it  , and the cost , was laughable.

The teachers were being wound up by the unions on behalf of labour to demand school closures , and how they were fighting on the front line and all other such guff. There are many great and good teachers out there , and i hate to generalise , but i have to say i have lost a lot of respect for the teaching profession.

Keir starmer interview , posted by sam coates at sky , from jan 2021 demanding schools are closed as part of national measures. Further evidence being splattered all over the place, showing labour up for the lying shysters that they are.

Labour are making a mockery of themselves.

I see its all over the internet about labours latest lie , jonathan ashworth on sunday morning interview pretending labour were against school closures during covid. Everyone knows labour and the unions all across the uk were baying for both westmisnter and the devolved legislatures to shut schools harder for much much longer.

Now its politically expedient to do so , they are backpeddling. As ever they get the big calls wrong then back peddle later on .

Labour's Jonathan Ashworth says "we always wanted schools to stay open where they could" during the pandemic The Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary tells #Raworth there was a period in 2020 where "there was a concern about infection rates in schools"
