This is a story about Operation Big Dog @Barry. It isn't really about parties but Johnsons character. Your thread is safe.

Well he will be working on something, and it could well include blame spreading.  It's clear he and his party are relying on Mrs Grey.. And maybe, she will point in other directions, after all, she has the option of telling him to fire himself. And the million dollar question is. Will she? Or will she soften it by pulling out a whole bunch of nobodies?

The problem with Sue Grays report is it won't be able to have a verdict. It will discuss the facts that have been uncovered and that is about it. And I guess that is what Johnson is relying on. There are parties and as long as he doesn't attend them he isn't part of them and as such his name isn't attached to it. Sure he got caught out by one party, but if he can somehow sweet talk Gray into accepting it was a Works meeting, he escapes that too. We can only hope her loyalty is to the government rather than the PM, in which case he could be caught out. Her name is attached to being tough and we will see just how tough she is. In any case, clearly Johnson knows more than he is letting on about partygate if he has a list of names to push under the bus. These names aren't going to be random. They are going to be key names he knows are linked to parties that he was aware of and knows Sue Gray will discover them also. The guy who broke the swing... I reckon he is fucked.

Christ. Maybe Johnson is the same type of snake as Cummings after all. Certainly so if this is true. For the past few days Johnson has been in hiding. And it seems he has been planning to save his ass. Heads need to roll and it must not be "Big Dog". There was a time the captain went down with the ship. Today it is all about taking down minions. I don't know the merits of this story, but what I do know is his secretary Reynolds is one of those names on the chopping block and being a secretary I suspect he has much to tweet about. He certainly can explain the origins of why he sent that BYOB email. And as such I suspect Ms Gray may have a source knocking on her door soon.
