Why would you visit Jamaica?

The thing that makes me laugh with all this independence malarky is the colonials kicking off about the past while getting into bed with China for their futures .

I wonder how Uncle Sam will react with China on its doorstep ?

Anyway, as I saying there is plenty of stories why it is a bad idea.

As for why would anyone visit Jamacia haven't any of you heathens been to Montego Bay ?  Bit lumpy but its got to done at least once

As for the Jamacians that want indy good luck to them .  Good luck the next time they fancy coming to the UK on a work visa as well

To be fair I have not. I found Cancun about as warm, and if my friends experience of Jamaica is anything to go by, somewhat cheaper.

I don't even think they have a clue, who are they even representing? it certainly isn't me or anyone I know, none of us were better off from Black slavery in fact we were pretty much under the same cosh, if at some point they all decide that money will buy their way out, it won't even be them paying it. It will be everyone else.

With or without her he'll struggle.
I agree. He's never been up to the job and simply doesn't  have his mother's strength of character.

I can quite believe that Charles as King will have a very mediocre career. Camilla already looks to be struggling. I can't see her with the Royal longevity gene and Charles without her may well be hopeless. It could be that Charles will wear the crown while all around him do the work. I just hope it doesn't include the Sussexes.

Frankly, I think it says a lot that they are doing it.

But then as I have said, when the queen pops her clogs Charlie and his bit on the side should take a leaf out of Edward the eighths book, bugger off and close off a generation of less than stellar royals and thus cause a start-over with two who haven't screwed up.(yet) and are quite manifestly ready to do the job

They  seem to be having fun which hardly suggests massive animosity. There are some noisy rude people but that's true everywhere. If they want a republic we have seen it all before so I don't see the problem. There is no reason why in representing the now very elderly Queen, they shouldn't be there in that capacity.

Why would they visit?

Because they've been told to.
I don't disagree, but I don't think divide and rule will work as they are already in the process of kicking them out of Jamaica, the Royals that is.

William and Kate greeted by protesters demanding apology and reparations for Britain's slaving past as they arrive in Jamaica (msn.com)#
After the growing backlash over slavery and US segregation and the vast amounts of money made by your ancestors from it, why would you think you would be greeted with flag waving royalists?
When the slow but sure process of your demise is moving up a gear? When everyone knows when the Queen dies it will move into overdrive.
