I remember Albion lorries and buses, which were, in their later years, just Leylands with a saltire badge.

I might not be an expert but I do know enough to correct you when you're wrong!

Alba is the old "Q" celtic name for the entire island of britain , latinised as albion. It then became the name for the part of the island the "q" celts , better known as gaels , called their country.

I think its looking good for wee Nick , and even if she does fail , its much easier for the snp to work hand in glove with labour than the tories. So its all good borkie.

A labour government in london propped up by the yookays third party is great news .

Poor auld england , living under a labour snp government while being taken back into the eu. I can see why you are struggling to put a brave face on it.

Trying to be all things to all men wont end well , and it never does.

I would have more respect for them if they came out and stood thier ground on thier policies and viewpoint instead of lying through their teeth and treating people as idiots.

If johnson falls , and the tories are voted out and this shower get in , and im coming around to the view thats where england is headed , then all i can say is you reap what you sow. Dont complain when the blairites leave the nations of the uk in the same mess if not worse than they did last time.

I dare say that we will have to live with it Tommy.

As far as I can Starmer is trying to reform the Social Democratic party that Tony Blair led to three general election victories. And looking at the polls he seems to be doing a good job of it. I don't like the bloke, I don't like the Labour party and I don't want to rejoin the EU. But I can live with the first two and I think Sir Stodge is too cautious to risk the third.

If Labour gets in they will discover that, one way and another, the Tories have nationalised everything and if they do put up taxes, well, that is what accountants are for.

Which leaves the provinces.

The Welsh like being kicked up the arse so Wales will remain a Labour party fiefdom. No one knows what the hell Northern Ireland wants except to be glum and bigoted and, well that is it really. So Ulster will be quietly ignored. And with the Nats set to be slaughtered at Indy2 in 2023, there will be no reason to grant Alba (why did they name Scotland after a pub?) independence.

So, I reckon we are looking at a Labour government come 2024, which won't be a lot of fun, but not the end of the world either

:)

Typical labour party , lying through their teeth and treating the voting public as gullible idiots.

Im not british , dont pretend to be patriotic about britains institutions and have been proudly republican all my life. imagine being this low though in politics that you would happily piss all over your own morals and viewpoint for a whiff of power?

They are being mocked for it by some political commentators , for example neil oliver , who im no fan of myself said this...

'It's just a blatant attempt to try and obfuscate reality.' Neil Oliver reacts to Labour saying they're 'the true party of patriotism' which 'stands up for British institutions'.
