Well you have both been known to get the hump at times, in that sense there is a lot of camels on here.

Just one observation
I have listened with "interest" about the "different direction" that a new Sunak or Truss government will go in.
Well excuse me, but to both of them, you both are in office on the basis of the last Manifesto, a manifesto which landed your party is biggest majority in over 40 years
Nobody moved against Johnson on the basis of the manifesto, so there is no justification for a new leader to just rip it up and replace it with one of their own.

If they want do that, they need to publish their own manifesto and put it to the people in a new general election.
Anything less will turn what happened to Boris into far more than a leadership challenge and into a very real Coup.

To be fair, Ireland remains part of a much bigger economic entity.

It is we who have more in common with Trumpton.

That would be a much bigger economic entity that is bang in trouble with debt . They escaped by the skin of their teeth a decade ago with some brilliant wizardry from super Mario , they wont be so lucky this time around

I heard a story that Johnson only received a questionnaire for 2 of the 6 parties that he attended. It smells of a cover up (feign surprise). He takes a penalty notice for the birthday party, prob thinking he would get public support, as it was just a birthday drink.  Why wouldn't he receive a questionnaire from the police and the required investigation for the rest of the parties he was scuttered at ?  Trump = Johnson
And Ireland = they think they're equals in the eu.......that's whatsknown as a three card trick.= a con.

When it comes to Labour and Tories I'll be voting for neither.

I thought everyone here knew that.
It doesn't matter who you vote for the agenda will still be the same thing. Just because they keep telling you what you want to hear it doesn't change anything.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Stop playing the game, every time you turn out and vote for them you are guaranteeing a more stressful life.

Starmer hardly represents a turn to the left. He is as establishmentarian as they come.

And I just think that if you cannot see that the Tories reinstating Boris after and in spite of everything would not be disastrous for them in the eyes of the public, then you are kidding yourself.

Doesn't your own signature say something about the importance of integrity?

You're missing my point. As far as Starmer goes I probably over estimated his direction simply because he commits U-turns almost daily. Following him would be like trying to get through a great big maze. The mess the Conservative Parliamentary Party has created is disastrous whichever way it now goes. Conservative members are simply trying misguidedly to undo the damage. There is no going back now.
As far as integrity goes it seems to have vanished from Westminster since about 2016 ably led by those who should have known better, but do you honestly think that the grandly named Partygate is enough reason to send the country to the wall?
Integrity is missing from all public life it seems and in that I include the main influencers whose only aim is catastrophe to sell either their wares or ideas. Even worse? There is no shame!

You think? I think the Conservatives having chosen the gift are busy now wrapping it up and adding the bow. This was wrong from the get go, they deserve whatever the electorate gives them in return. Sadly a turn left will send the country into a tailspin but I guess there are many who haven't experienced that before and need the stress.

As I said from the beginning this whole Boris saga seems to be a plot by Tony Blair.

Labour isn't working.
There have been weeks of desperate headlines focussed not on bad policies but a little drink and cake! There lies the problem. That is just how demented it has become. Starmer is such poor political fodder that those who think they govern minds have sunk lower than low to oust the Conservative Party and they were stupid enough to fall for it. Boris advised his successor not to listen to WhatsApp and that in a nutshell is what this stupidity is all about. They will rue the day and if they don't they shouldn't be in Parliament.
