Can't really argue with that — except car ferry journeys are 24 hrs or so, and require driving from Spanish ports into Portugal. Not difficult, but travelling then takes up to four days out of the holiday.

We've done it from Portsmouth and made the journey part of the holiday rather than just rushing to and fro...
