Hopefully this is a sign that Truss isnt going to be following the US/EU freindly  version of Brexit but one that protects the integrity of the United Kingdom .
Biden more or less ended trade talks when he suggested the Northern Ireland protocol was front and centre of any discussion with the PM then ignoring  him by putting trade talks on the backburner .

Keep your nose out of our internal affairs was the  clear message .

I think Truss is more interested (as she should be ) in completing the CPTPP trade deal she was working on as International Trade secretary  . Free trade is the future not taking it up the rear from the USA
The US pulled out of the CPTPP in 2017, we may get back door trade through the CPTPP if the US rejoins as is muted.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

It is incorrect to say that there have been no benefits to Brexit.

Already, the cap on bankers' bonusses is being lifted which will delight the people.

Down with the wicked EU, oppressor of British bankers.

Long live Brexit.

The much-vaunted post-Brexit trade deal between the UK and US could be years away, Liz Truss admitted as she landed in the US before her first official bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden.
