So how does your version of proper PR work?

So far I've not seen any PR scheme that doesn't preclude me from judging the candidates who are seeking the chance/privilege to represent me...
I don't have a "version."

Proper Proportional Representation would be my choice.

Again, yours is politics of hope: you have no idea what's going to happen in the next 2 years. This latest economic move could be a genius stroke, and the markets might be proved wrong. I'll tell you one certainty, the futures investors will be offloading now and then massaging the pound back to $1.20 ish. Sheep has that right, we're all being played, it's just a case of how prepared you are to invest. #SquidGame
It isn't really politics of hope when Labour are sitting above 50% in the snap shot poll. Under PR, a system set up for coalition, Labour would still have a majority.

As for where the pound could go, even if it did get to $1.20, the problem doesn't seem to be the value of the pound, which should be concern due to inflation, but sharp interest rates causing mortgage rates to rise and pension values to drop. Given the shit has yet to hit the fan, I still think the more realistic outcome isn't so much the Tories turning this around but them getting wiped out completely actually. That is unless Truss doesn't do a uturn. She is going to the OBR today and I expect she and Kwarteng are going to come up with something the markets will like before Party Conference. I suspect the 45p rate is staying and I would hope to see an actual plan for growth than trickle down economics. This is her last chance. Not for her premiership in which the electorate have lost faith in her completely, but to save the nation from bankruptcy.

Even under PR, Labour will have a majority. lol
We cant really say that , if we all knew our vote counted I would expect the main players vote to decrease . It hardly worth me voting ,the same with most people  as our MP is a given . PR however would give us reason to .

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Yes, if there were an election today, Starmer would have a landslide. If only he could choose the date.
Surely, the last thing we need is a landslide victory by any party?

A working majority, where governments need to win support for their proposals, would be just fine.

Look what the current majority has led us to, with no chance of the current government being voted out by Parliament...

Well that's better than a ban I guess. But it was vague Nick, surely you can at least understand my confusion. It came out the blue too. There were far worse posts that I have done that have toed the line than that one. I not saying any of them should have resulted in a ban for me but it just highlights that post in particular was tame to say the least. But as I said, I don't want a ban so I won't comment further. This forum is a good forum and I like the banter.
And you're most welcome.

Same as anyone, you'd go on moderated posts and have your posts checked before being approved.

If you think that the economy is going to sort itself out in two years with the current shower of incompetents in government, you must be very deluded.
Seeing as you know what's going to happen in the next 2 years put your money where your mouth is and post it in the Predictions Thread. You won't do cause that's not your style, you just post uninformed one liners.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

You're not being realistic, you have no clue what will happen in the next 2 years. It's perfectly feasible that the economy sorts its self out and voting intentions change. Just cause you don't want it to doesn't make it not possible.
