My poll tax has gone up 3% and my pensions !0%!

Poll tax was abolished  back in 21 March 1991. My Council Tax has gone up by 5%. (Letter arrived today.)

Your lucky my poll tax has gone up 15% and my pension is so shite it wont even pay for the Turkey at Crimbo . It was going along fine in the early days with good projections but went tits about 30 years ago and never recovered  . 

The guy kept coming round the house as they did in them days for his cheque and a glass of scotch but gave up when he realised even he couldn't sell a dead horse . The funny thing was the same guy reappeared a couple of years later as the Littlewoods  pools man not to mention a while after that as the milkman .
