Virgin are well known for it Borky .  When they send out a new rate for their services its their starting bid for negociations . They will always have a 'deal' they can offer to 'valued customers' and your threat of walking away would have sharpened their pencils 

Still glad the phone dried out OK ;)

A couple of weeks ago Virginmedia sent me a letter saying that my internet  bill would rise to £48 a month. So I spent a couple of days on the phone with them, got nowhere and decided to send them a letter cancelling my contract.

Which I did and got a phone call from then yesterday. Or would have done had I not dropped the phone in the piddle pot buy the bed. So I got out the mobility scooter so as to go to Argos and get a new phone. Except that the scooter batteries were flat, which meant that I would be housebound until I could get some charge on them.

So there I was, no phone, soon to have no internet and not at all best pleased.

And then, an hour ago the phone rang.

It was a nice lady from Virgin who said that I was such a valued customer that they would cut the bill to £17 a month. Huzzah I cried and then noticed that the phone was working again. So that was another £20 saved.

I wallow in cash and the world loves me !!
