True.

When PC Blakelock was murdered during the Broadwater farm riots, Bernie Grant cheered the mob on and was promptly elected MP at the next election.

There is nothing much wrong with either Tottenham or Hackney that carpet bombing won't put right
When it comes to terror bombing, I'm more in favour of a latter day Guy Fawkes.

I disagree. Both Abbott and Lammy are voted in because they are (or, in Abbott's case, were) popular.

About 20% of people on Lammy's patch are Black. His constituency includes Stamford Hill, which returns the few Conservative members on Hackney Council.

I appreciate it's difficult to show restraint when illusions of British fairness are shattered by those who suffer from the reality enacted by bigots.

But the majority of the population, who are generally fair-minded, are done no favours by the incensed reactions of the easily-riled...

David Lammy:

  • nominated both Abbott and Corbyn to be Labour party leaders
  • found guilty of using auto dialling to make unsolicited (nuisance) calls to get votes
  • spends a disproportionate amount of time on 'black' issues because he is prejudiced against the interests of white people
  • has a habit of making foot in mouth stupid comments including saying that calling the ERG 'Nazis' wasn't strong enough; saying that the use of black or white smoke in elections for the Pope was racist and sabotaging Comic Relief by saying it was racist to show that help went to black people in Africa.

I've also had the misfortune to attend an event where he spoke his inane derivative drivel

He is monumentally self serving and stupid and unfortunately apparently unsackable.  Can you guess why?

She has a history of offensive anti white comments that would have long ended the career of a white politician had they made equivalent anti black comments.  Lammy is different, he makes stupid and facile comments and is often loud mouthed about doing it.  It's very hard to escape the conclusion they only survive because of their skin colour.

What astounds me is Abbot's total ignorance of the capturing of white slaves by the Barbary Pirates from the South West of Britain.
The fact she said no white person has ever been shackled on the deck of a ship shows she is clueless.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Perfect opportunity for Starmer to further cleans away the remnants of Corbyn.
Thats exactly what will happen. And it is a big part of the reason that the genuine left will no longer support Labour.

What Abbot said was both stupid and potentially offensive so she has provided an open goal. But if any Blairite had said the same thing then immediately apologised like Abbot did, a slapped wrist is all that would have happened. But Abbot will be hung out to dry, not so much because of what she said - that just gives them the ammunition - but because of who she is and what she represents. They will do a Corbyn on her and never again let her stand as a Labour MP. Her options will be the same as his. Stand as an independent or don't stand at all.  Problem for Labour of course is that both have a strong local following in their constituencies. So if they stand as independents they might well win, defeating the Labour candidate. And even if they don't they might take so many potential Labour voters that a party other than Labour could come through the middle and steal those seats.

Lammy survives for the same reason Abbott survives. They both represent rock solid Labour seats and it would not matter if they were found to be dining off boiled babies.

But I suspect that Lammy has ambitions for a post in Sir Stodge's cabinet, so he won't rock the boat. Looking at the state of her, I imagine that poor old Di doubts that she will make it to 2024, so she has probably decided to have her say now

Dunno.

I have always found the racism industry harmless and a little sad. And Abbott has a reputation as a good local MP. I wonder is David Lammy will spring to her defence? I hope so, but I doubt it. He seems to know the way the wind is blowing

He's just as racist as she is.

Should have been sacked a long time ago.  She's always been a racist.

Looks Sir Stodge is continuing with his campaign against the Labour party's old guard.
