My observation is that Boris Johnson never does anything for nothing.

If he passes over all his info to the inquiry, I suspect he'll do it both to get on the good side of the inquiry, and also to have in his armoury as with argument that he didn't knowingly do anything wrong, otherwise why would he incriminate himself...
I sense Dominic Cummings emerging from the woodwork with the box of evidence no-one checked when he walked out of 10 Downing Street.

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Boris is not handing over all his messages, only those from April 2021 ie nothing relating to his delaying lockdown 1 (which allowed Carrie to have that party) and his 'let the bodies pile high' phase.

If Boris said today was Friday I'd have to check

I dare say that will keep you licking your chops in anticipation of revelations that Boris spent the lockdown poisoning the wells with Chinese snot and supping champagne out of Trump's socks, but from my angle the Blond Moppet is having a fine old time running Sunak's bollocks through the mangle.

I doubt that Johnson will try for PM again, but the current cabinet don't seem to know that and are no doubt piddling themselves as a result :)

It now appears Bojo will be handing the requested items direct to the inquiry:-

Boris Johnson has said he is giving his unredacted WhatsApp messages directly to the Covid inquiry.

It comes a day after the government said it would seek a judicial review of the inquiry's demand that it hand over messages from the former prime minister and other officials.
Mr Johnson said he understood why it was taking legal action but added that this was not his decision.
He said he was "perfectly content" for the inquiry to see his messages.
In a letter to the head of the Covid inquiry Baroness Hallett, Mr Johnson said he would be sending her "all unredacted WhatsApps I provided to the Cabinet Office".

It will make my day if Bojo passes the info direct to the enquiry as a result of number 10s legal action.
