Ever seen Shawshank? The famous scene where Red states that he is a changed man? If someone had completed their term and has 'proven' they are changed shouldn't they be released? The question for me is, is he still a threat? I'd like to think the parole board are trained psychologists.

Yes ,great film . The question for me is not is he still a threat but why take the chance . 
Prisoner released on parole do re offend ,its not a foolproof system so given his sickening crimes he stays locked up for me  ?

That is the funniest comment I have heard for a very long time. They had already let Pitchfork out in 2021. He had to be sent back inside because of an unhealthy interest he was showing in young girls.

It's quite worrying that the authorities think it's OK to put murderers back into society especially double child killers . It's quite obvious we need people in charge who wouldn't .  This guy should have been strung up 40 years ago ,the least they can do is let him rot in his cell.

Double child killer and rapist Colin Pitchfork has been granted parole and will be released from prison.
Pitchfork was jailed for life for raping and strangling two 15-year-old girls, Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth, in Leicestershire in 1983 and 1986.

The 63-year-old was released in 2021, before being arrested and sent back to prison two months later.

Following a hearing held in private in April, the Parole Board has decided Pitchfork can be released.
Pitchfork was the first murderer to be convicted using DNA evidence.
