I click on the account the money is coming from, the amount to be transferred and then the account it is going too.

It can take up to a minute.
I open my wallet and the money falls out , it can take up to 5 seconds ;)   Still sounds like the bank has appologised

Given the amount of paperwork and digital records produced whenever I move money from one account to another, and the digital security checks, I really cannot understand what the bank are at, unless it is more political correctness.

As a direct result of Gordon Brown no UK mainland resident can now open or maintain a bank account in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man. If you want to blame someone for this closure culture, start with HIM

I'm not in favour of arbitrary decisions by the banks themselves, but I can see why money laundering, fraud and embezzlement need to be combatted. However, in those cases it should not depend solely on the whims of bank officials...

The question Farage aside is should banks be able to close your account for any reason ?

PS — yesterday I received a letter from one bank pointing out that from September it could refuse or limit cash in, cash out and close the account, irrespective of what agreements I may have previously signed. Wonder if the latest govt proposals will have an affect..
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

No-one's bank account should be shut down because of someone's points of view, even a smarmy git like Farage.
