Yes it is delightful. My godmother used to live in the town and she moved out, but now she has moved back and got a nice house overlooking the common on the other side. I must go and visit her soon.

It's just what I will always consider my real home. A good school friend used to live in the house just to the right of those in the picture. In the winter everyone used to go skating on that pond. I bet they don't know though.

The countess must be a very demanding woman!

It's just what I will always consider my real home. A good school friend used to live in the house just to the right of those in the picture. In the winter everyone used to go skating on that pond. I bet they don't know though.

It a bit of a strange place today. I visited with my woman a while back and in the daytime the place feels quite deserted. We have a large public pond on a common, and we were relaxing there one fine sunny afternoon, and the only person we met was a Russian girl, who I would have given a 99% chance that she was doing the au pair job today. At Christmas you can travel along the road at 9pm or so and see many houses with no one living there. The nouveau riche have moved in now and probably own houses all over the place. I would not be surprised if there were a few Russian bankers amongst them. Times have certainly changed. In the old days those who lived there were British industrialists.  The chairman of GEC lived at the top of my road, and was typical of the type. These old school industrialists had a sense of taste, much unlike the get rich quick type, who as you can probably guess have probably ripped someone off.

Anyway Baron, have you not twigged yet that the video was purposely made to show exactly what you've taken from it?? Of course they're going to show the best v the worst...surely not even you and your misogynistic alter ego can actually believe that ALL Swedish women look that good, and ALL British women look like they've had a hard paper round and been dragged through the hedge backwards.

I know. I always check this stuff before posting it. The fat ugly lumps of blubber are everywhere in this country. Both men and women are a disgrace, but obviously being a bloke I would not care too much what other blokes looked like. In a woman's shoes it is just as bad.



As for Sweden I have not checked the entire population so can't give you the All bit, but when I first moved to this area my best girlfriend at the time had a Swedish friend. I could listen to her for hours. The voice/accent cracks me up more than the French. I practised it in my spare time. It can sound so sexy. Shame she's not still around.

Ten years of austerity, meaning a lot of people buy clothes from charity shops and the cheapest food is processed rubbish.

My wife has been missing for the last week , and the police have told me to prepare for the worst.

Ah yes I did notice that, but you know someone has to do the job of pointing the camera and if you are a bloke doing that it might be hard to concentrate on getting a balanced view. You know how the girlies always like their photos taken. Well they did when I knew them because they had spent a fair bit of effort to look presentable. You can just about see some blokes in the corner of the lens and they look slim and healthy as well.



So the mystery remains. Why do the Brits look like they have bought their clothes from charity shops and have not got the brain to eat healthily? Also the music (?) in the second half. that's not fake you know. We had a band turn up in our town from North Wales which sounded just the same.
