Maybe if Netanyahu hadn't propped him up none of this would have happened eh?

You'd think terrorists would be better off not working with the Israeli government, but seems Netanyahu had other ideas..
Israel certainly propped him up by curing Sinwar's cancer for him.
But I know where you are coming from. Divide and rule sometimes works.

The phrase 'Fat Chance Sinwar' comes to mind.

Even if he does release all the hostages he can't bring back all those killed on October 7th or while held as hostages.  Mossad has its 'eye for an eye' way of dealing with such.

Depending on how politically toxic Netanyahu is ^  And how quickly he thinks he's going to be deposed as the country's reputation is stomped into the ground and Jews around the world suffer for it, you never know what assurances he may give to terrorists

I'd prefer all the leadership of terrorist groups removed, rather than be worked with. I'm pretty sure Tony Blair also liked working with terrorists.

I heard that Yahyah Sinwar wants a clause in any ceasefire agreement that he is immune for life from assassination.

He could try this?

For some reason I've only just seen this, BR.
Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, are all different faces of the terrorist hydra.
Yes, Netanyahu foolishly gave Hamas a nod decades ago. I think it was to try to divide and rule, but that turned out awfully badly after a withdrawal from Gaza, which promised "land for peace".
Of course, Gazans have their land, Israel did not get peace, they got rockets.

My Father used to have an expression "When he's said it, he's said nowt", which applies to lots of posts on the Internet which use conditional phrases, such as "appears" and "seemingly" because the poster does not have the courage of their own convictions. Israel are continuing the job of eliminating their enemies, Hamas, who have vowed to eliminate Israel. Israel are fighting a just war.
You are just mouthing off.

The thing is Barry (and my wife is Jewish by the way and supports Israel 100%), Netanyahu directly said he wanted Hamas to stay in power prior to October the 7th. I can provide you the quote from Israel's own media - not leftist conspiracist stuff.

I can provide you the quotes saying IDF warned about moving Nova festival from the site it was at, as it was too close to the border - that was ignored

What else was ignored? So many warnings that Hamas were going to attack.

So many.

Why were they ignored? So many warnings came through that this would happen - and Netanyahu says himself he wants them to stay in power.

Go ahead and ask me for links and I'll oblige, but to my mind, this could have all been prevented. We know Hamas are a bloodthirsty terrorist group that is happy to see their own civilians slaughtered, but the IDF and Israeli government are meant to be better than that. What we're seeing is hospitals, schools destroyed and even Israel's own civilians shot while holding up white flags! Aid convoys blown up.

That can't be right in 2024

Over 100,000 people have protested at various times against Bibi in Israel, holding up Israeli flags demanding a ceasefire and for him to resign

I back Israel's patriotic protesters myself

That also appears to describe the current seemingly vengeance-driven Israeli administration...
Sadly, all too true ^

No. They have a mindset that loves and glorifies death. They use their own people to get them killed to stir up world opinion and useful idiots in the terrorists favour. They are sick and evil.

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Do you think Hamas actually regret their attack on Israel? I don't think they are actually.

They are probably dead, killed in an intelligence led airstrike. Some reports say 5 x 2000lb JDAM bombs were used. They didn't want any to escape. Hamas big nobs were having a meeting in a building which was reduced to rubble.
Well done Israel.
Keep up the good work of destroying the terrorists.

Meanwhile, at the BBC they just regurgitate Hamas "health ministry" propaganda.

The BBC are, of course, totally neutral, unlike some forum posters.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
