Feeling quite chuffed
My album "Paradise Postponed" made the shortlist for the Sunday Rockshow Album of the Year prize
Sadly I did not win Album of the Year, but I did win the "Best Album by a local Bristol Artist" award.

This Lockdown has been a very painful matter for me in a deeply personal way.

Should I make a song and dance about it?

Well I am supposed to be a musician of sorts, so probably yes, I should.

That's quite nice.

Non-songs related:

I see you're using Ableton Live Lite, which I've also got (someone bought some audio interface and it came free, they gave it to me..). My choice is logic tho .

I dunno if you've tried this site but there's a vast array of quite good free vsts.

You should try schwa's olga synth & their oligarc filter. I think 'oligarc' has some good effects that would suit your music.

As you're quite into Chinese cultural stuff, you might like a few of the erhu, dizi flute and other instruments they're doing for free. http://www.chineekong.com/freebies.htm">http://www.chineekong.com/freebies.htm

It's pretty nice. I like to use the built-in sampled ones (erhu, guzheng) in logic then edit the tuning tables to my favourite 4th century Chinese scale, there's also this Bulgarian one that sounds nice on it for some reason - and the Balinese ones sound nice on any instrument imo. I dunno if you've ever tried this in live but apparently it is possible https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=151972">https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=151972

Thanks Barry - guess your an old hippy as well?

Oi! Less of the old.  :-P

I once went to a Hawkwind concert at De Montford Hall in Leicester wearing a Harris Tweed jacket. My musical tastes did not match my fashion choices.
