The um, daily mail link does, unless you didn't really read it of course. I don't blame you, but best not to self-reflect.

Maybe didn't get to the bottom of the page, rather tired after tree surgery.  :-P

I'm yet to figure out who was furious, was it Carrie, Saddo Khan, perhaps a random leftie Twitter user? The report didn't actually say.

But that's not the issue under investigation - it's whether there was corrupt favours given using taxpayer money or resources based on nepotism rather than talent.

In many private companies including the one I work for, the allegations that apparently were confirmed in the police report, although not a criminal offence, would have resulted in dismissal.

So what ? Parliament has been allowed to do many things that would see ordinary mortals in other employments dismissed.

It is a fact that the allegations were investigated with intent to determine whether there was a criminal offence of misconduct in public office and that investigation has concluded that no prosecution is possible. As with another thread, I see no particular reason to accede to the rabid rantings of the left who have a bit of a track record for instructing the CPS not to prosecute where a guilty verdict would be an embarrassment to the left.
<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

Hmm, corrupt cronyism is just accepted now as standard.

Heck, it's starting to feel like we live in Belarus or something. Maybe that's too kind, it's feeling like Turkmenistan.

We must put up large statues of Dom, the tit on the zipwire, Priti, Alan b'stard and the Sumac as holy Turkic tribal warriors who led the Britishfolk out of suffering into aland of milk and honey, or singapore on thames as they called it.

The matter is under investigation by the London Assembly, which does not love Boris and would demand the death penalty if he were caught peeing in the sink. No one else gives a crap.

An elitist escapes criminal punishment from a back-hander. I would be surprised if it wasn't so bloody common.

The weird thing is that this is reported as a victory for the PM.

From what I understand, the investigation into his conduct will still continue.  What he did may not have been a criminal offence, but that doesn't mean it's not a sacking offence (or at least would be in any other line of business or activity).  We will see.

As far as I can see the only way the PM can be sacked is if the Tory party decides to do so. And from what I gather from my fellow ungracious but  shrewd reactionaries, the general feeling is that is Boris being Boris and that without wishing to be ungallant to Ms Jennifer Arcuri, £200,000 plus is a hell of a big tip.

Overall I reckon that BoJo will be safe until the end of the year when the EU talks break down, the French fishing fleets invade British waters and BoJo sends the Royal Navy to sink Johnny Foreigner's ships with the result that he will be made PM forever.

Not sure why this is considered ok, but I guess he can flout quarantine, so can Dom, they can shake hands, lie, cheat steal with full immunity and it's all fine.
