To a certain extent that might be true, but the @@@@ idiots voted to honour the referendum, implement Article 50 and to get us out of Europe. They have a moral obligation to do so, anything else is  @@@@@ undemocratic. @@@@, @@@@@

   You poor lamb - got at from all sides! I can't see any reason for a 2nd ref where we are at present. We have no further idea of what life will look like post Brexit than 3 years ago. This is only the WA and they portray it as the end game. It's only the end of the beginning. So the whole argument is based on a lie before we start. They hope that the decision will be reversed but haven't the integrity or guts to admit it. They spin that remain has increased numbers, that the last 3 years of stupidity in Parliament is an indication of the difficulties ahead. The only reason I can see difficulty ahead is if the many self opinionated idiots currently getting paid more than they are worth, continue to have any say on the future of the country.

I read somewhere that MPs are elected not to fulfil their constituents wishes but to make judgements for the benefit of all. It sounds good doesn't it? Heaven help us.

The news always makes the opposition minority 'government' look good. I probably won't watch it, then keep coming on here to find out what's happening. I might as well watch it.  The whole thing gets me angry when they justify why we need a second vote, confirmatory vote, people's vote, why we didn't know what we were voting for - I don't know about you, but I knew what I was going to vote as son as they announced the referendum - leavers are thick, uneducated and from oop north. (Any more slights?) My husband won't let me put the news on when he's here. He said I have a potty mouth when I get angry!

I sympathise - the jury is out for now. By Monday though I might have got 2nd wind and anyway I quite like to know where the treachery is. The news never gives a true story by the time they chop it all up.

I don't think I'll bother watching the House of Horrors this week, I'm sick of them all!!

It is so true =, it is personal.  A lot of them can't stand BJ so they just want to brink him down in any way possible. They accused him of being a spoilt kid, they should look in the mirror some of them.

We have a surfeit of egos aiming for their 15 minutes. This has gone beyond anything to do with us it is now down to who wins. It's personal within Westminster and those rich (and some ex political) men minded to run the country by proxy.

I doubt that the courts will. It is alright passing a judgement on a particular case, but when it becomes a matter of sentencing the PM to a stretch in HM Ford Open Prison I imagine that the judiciary will simply kick it into the long grass and hope that they have retired before they have to make a decision.

I think it will be a massive mistake for the courts to get any more involved in this circus. It seems that there are some both in and outside parliament who run to the courts if democracy doesn't suit them.

The only way this will be resolved if at all is by a GE,there has been a determination from day one in westminster to thwart brexit.

Each GE brings worse, like for example that purple woman who I understand is the leader of the Lib Dems, or the brown one from the SNP which caused parliament to empty itself before she started her speech!

Ask what could be worse and you will get it in a GE. Proles have two short planks for a brain. You know the routine. They will vote for the biggest bullshitter.

Not to lie in the first place. He said he would "rather be dead in a ditch" than ask the EU to delay Brexit. I don't want to see him harmed in any way, but he did ask for an extension and he's not "dead in a ditch".

On the first day of his government he promised to leave by the 31st of October, now he's asked for an extension that can last up till the end of January next year. He's made too many promises, and he's not delivering.

That has been my prediction so far, even when he started as PM. I said he will do us at some point regarding this because he is a liar. I think to be frank with you our best hope now is that Parliament, being full as it is with stupid cows and wonky brains will disagree all the way up to the meeting and the EU will not give us an extension, however the truth is they need our money, so it's touch and go.

So you weren't lying then, just exaggerating or putting your "neutral" spin on the proceedings.

Lying about what?

Boris complied with the law.  :hattip

Let the courts decide that.

Quote from: T00ts post_id=1413 time=1571569714 user_id=54
Again you miss the point. I have not said that the PM is above the law. He has sent a letter. What the courts cannot do is force him personally to send a letter that the government does not support. So the letter is unsigned while he explains in a further missive just why.

He was not forced to send the letter. The PM was, he could have resigned if he didn't like the job.

Our politics are not run by courts. Therefore it is my submission that running to the courts like children running to mummy is not the way to go. The courts need to be mindful of that.

Politicians pass laws, that's what they do. A law was passed and the PM might have acted against it, so it makes sense to let the courts decide if he's followed the law.
