I thought the idea of the regulations was to save lives of the olds, not to kill the youngsters having fun.

Fact is, a generation has sat on a sofa not being allowed to go out to play and thus get dirty, who never got grazed skin...

Those youngsters are more vulnerable than any my age, especially if they are black, or Asian, and ESPECIALLY if they are mixed race. Because all three of the above were identified in 2009/10 and again between 2013/15 by the NHS as being at increased risk of organ failure needing a transplant

I don't know about that Pappy, afterall, Ammunition is quite expensive and the personnel overtime costs for the firearms officers could be prohibitive.

Probably safer and cheaper simply to railroad all offenders to special Quarantine camps - where they can also help manufacture PPE and where there could be very large incinerators and other chambers for those that show or succumb to symptoms.

Isn't there a place like that near Bicester...

I am fed up with fools risking others lives.

Agreed, but for me it's anger...

Here's another example of violent idiots in Rochdale, this time-Police officer bitten!

Maybe PS was right about shooting the renegades.

That HAS to be jail time, plus medical checks on both the moron and the police officer.

The idea is to NOT mingle so that the NHS does not get overwhelmed. (It was not all youngsters having fun.)

Frankly I am getting fed up with people who break the regulations risking lives and endangering the NHS. Personally I would have issued the police with firearms weeks ago and authorised summary executions. (I am NOT joking.)

This sounds tempting but the problem is that you have to establish the reason people are outside first - they may have a legitimate reason, or they may have mental health problems etc.  Few police officers would want to question someone, then make a summary judgement whether they are telling the truth or not, and then if they think not, shoot them.

Did you read the link in the thread opener?

I can understand arming the police in Manchester — but it isn't likely to reduce the risk overall, judging by the outcomes of deploying supposedly trained firearms officers...
