Ah, the second name of Boris. Yeah, that British PM that requested the third extension.

It's got nothing to do with that. France is just protecting the EU.

Politicians in the UK were saying that depending on what the EU decided for the extension, they would back an election or not etc. France didn't like that politicians in the UK were seeking to react to the EU, because then if things go wrong with Brexit those politicians could blame the EU. So France has decided that we wait till it's our time to react. Westminster needs to act, to decide if it backs an election. Then the EU will decide on the extension length.

Of course France will fall in line in time, just to avoid a technical no deal (in which case the EU would be blamed), but the idea is that Westminster will fall in line before France.

You see, the EU is fed up with the UK always saying that all your problems are because of the EU. We want to avoid being blamed for whatever happens after Brexit. You wanted independence, self-government? You got it, now, whatever happens is your fault. Deal with Westminster yourselves.

Bollox.

That's a good argument for not granting an extension. No deal might be 5 days away.

Not granting the extension would contradict all that I just said, so you're obviously wrong.

If the EU didn't grant the extension, your politicians would blame the EU for everything bad that happens after Brexit.

Macron did the same thing the last time,he will fall in line when his ego is fully fulfilled.Politicians are already moving the goalposts as the can kicking is failing, now it is we will give the public such hell they will beg to rejoin.

The EU has agreed another extension but the new date hasn't been finalised.

Do you think the UK not leaving on the 31st October will damage Mr Johnson position in the polls or will he be able to exploit the 'people vs parliament' narrarive and maintain the Conservative parties lead in the general election polls?

Are you sure?

I find it hard to believe that the EU will let us leave no deal.

It could easily happen by default.

The legal default is still leaving on the 31st  deal or no deal . I hope Johnson  has some ammo left for next week

It's reported on Sky too. The question is if the EU is waiting for the GE decision and Corbyn is waiting for the length of the extension from the EU before he makes up his mind, we could be dithering back and forth until doomsday.
