What is it about people who show this "Do as I say, not as I do" approach to the infection risk?

Maybe he was following science, being immune, but it's not OK for plebs like me who were never offered a test and can't be 100% sure of immunity like him.

Well this is the issue - if you have tested positive only 2 weeks ago and you are now recovered, I would say it's 99.99% sure you are currently immune.  We don't know how long immunity lasts, but, you can be pretty sure that it lasts at minimum a few weeks and probably a lot longer.

However it's interesting you raise this topic on the same thread about the Prime Minister.  If it's right that Neil Ferguson should resign from that committee because he did that (even though it's 99.99% sure he was immune), why is the Prime Minister, who by definition is responsible for the entire decision making process around this, still in post - he openly flouted his own advice and risked the lives of those around him.

That's without even pointing out his very similar history (actually much worse) if you want to go down the family morals route.

Your reaction shows also why they have to clamp down on such hypocrisy even though the reality is that vast numbers of other people are breaking the rules in similar but not dangerous ways - for example I walked past someone on the canal path at only about 1.5m this morning because there wasn't enough room to get the full 2m away and frankly I don't believe for a second that you can get Coronavirus just from quickly walking past someone on a canal path.  Should I resign from my job?

Still, it's a premonition of the howls of jealousy and envy if people who've proven to have antibodies are allowed to go about their business.  This is just a foreshadowing of that.

We get harsh penalties just for standing outside our bloody frontdoor.

Except Thursday evening when we are having the herd community hand clapping. About which I feel very uncomfortable as I feel I am being turned into one of the sheeple.  :baah:  :baah:

It is pretty unbelievable isn't it. I don't know how this scientist guy is forced to resign (ok fair enough) but Bojo just gets to stay on? What happened to one standard for all, whether a common pleb, a politician or a scientist eh?

Then again, this is a guy who failed a simple maths test on ferrari's show, as well as an IQ test despite slating those with 'inferior' IQ's (I guess he includes himself in that then).
