Well, not all of us of course. I was at the allotment yesterday and everybody was asking why the government did not organise a drop of rain with some sunshine to follow, but otherwise most folk have been thoroughly decent.



 A few folk, most of whom probably only had a couple of years left anyway, have turned up their toes but instead of saying well, shit happens and at least with the new regulations the funeral will be cheap, society has rallied round and seems determined to keep us alive for ever and ever.



The only problem is that we seem destined to make more and more fuss over less and less.God knows what the next kerfuffle will be about, although I would not be surprised if in a year or two the world went into lockdown because Xi Jinping's cat has hemorrhoids.



Still, it is a kinder, gentler world and you can't say fairer than that.
