Yesterday the BBC News reported, quite well considering their bias, the life and times and untimely end of Peg Entwhistle, a young, very white and very heterosexual woman born in Port Talbot to a couple whose marriage was going to hit the rocks a few years later.



After an acrimonious divorce her mother pretty much abandoned her to her father, who remarried and emigrated with his new wife and daughter to Anerica.



Tragedy was to strike though, as she lost both parents to disease, and to a hit and run car driver...



Taken under the wing of another relative, she went into the acting business. And now almost everything said of her is a lie, as the link I picked above, from the 'vintage news' website, is at pains to point out.



The facts are that she was a very good actress. Bette Davies, slightly younger than her, saw a performance and said she needed to be more like her. Sadly for each Box Office hit there are a dozen if not a hundred flops, and the films she appeared in were not a success. In her last, critics record her performance as considerably above the standard the film deserved ...



Hollywoods press scum would have you believe she was reduced to nude modelling and killed herself after getting a poor review. The facts are she was on a deal where she was to get a portion of the box office and the show was cut ....



For whatever reason, she threw herself from the letter H in the Hollywood sign - or HollywoodLAND as it was.



And so Netflix have chosen to report her end ...



By changing her name to Meg, casting a woman blacker than the ace of spades and a lesbian to boot, according to the report on Pink News.



It seems the reason for the change of sexual orientation cones down to the fact the character in her last film was a lesbian.



Ah well.
