It is a nice gesture, but to be honest, most of us I don't want right on coppers who are in touch with their feelings and talk through the issues with the local villains. We want hard cases who keep the streets safe, not tender hearted souls whose prime objective appears to be to get their photos in the more cuddly columns of the Guardian

I agree, what is also needed is police officers with a knowledge of the locality they police and the people in it.

Well as so often you do bring up valid arguments,yeah many disabled (also many non) have not been best served in this whole affair.

What puzzles me is why Bojo The Clown is not providing Cummings and his family a safe house and close protection.

As for Black Lives Matter so do disabled people lives and the impending scandal about how they have been treated in Britain during the Covid-19 crisis is only just showing signs of going mainstream.

The protesters were outside Mr Cummings' property for around 30 minutes and told the PA news agency they were all socially distanced.



They added the response from the street was "largely positive", with around 15 neighbours joining them and one leading a chant of "Black Lives Matter".

oh, and this:

Protesters said they are calling on the Government to sack Mr Cummings and implement a strategy to tackling the pandemic based on World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations.



They also called for Public Health England to publish its "full findings" of its review which this week found black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people are at significantly higher risk of dying from Covid-19.

Definitely on the bandwagon.
