Yes I have heard it, when there is some hard evidence I might take some notice. Media hysteria is not hard evidence.

I do hope so, for closure for the parents, who must have gone through hell, particularly grief and guilt.

If this miscreant, Christian Brückner, is found to be responsible, it will end a mystery that started in 2007.

Also, if Christian Brückner is responsible, ex Portuguese detective Gonçalo Amaral will need to make a huge public apology to Kate and Gerry McCann for all the stuff he wrote in his book, suggesting they were the authors of their daughter's disappearance.

I really thought he had been close to the case and knew what he was talking about, but his removal from the case was good for the enquiry, but the case had gone cold.
