According to the polls, not leaving by 31st will cause an instant 10 point drop in his ratings towards the Brexit party.  However, poll questions like that are historically not always borne out - i.e. how people say they will react to a future event it not what they actually do in the end.

That is very true. I have said that if we are not out on 31st I will vote Brexit. However, I shall weight things up closer to the poll, listen to the lies from all sides before putting my cross where it belongs.

I'd take that with a grain of salt until you hear from a EU source.

It's reported on Sky too. The question is if the EU is waiting for the GE decision and Corbyn is waiting for the length of the extension from the EU before he makes up his mind, we could be dithering back and forth until doomsday.

The EU has agreed another extension but the new date hasn't been finalised.

Do you think the UK not leaving on the 31st October will damage Mr Johnson position in the polls or will he be able to exploit the 'people vs parliament' narrarive and maintain the Conservative parties lead in the general election polls?

He is obviously trying to manage it because his spin machine is in overdrive trying to say:

a) Look, my withdrawal deal passed through parliament and I'm still being blocked (this is wrong - see fullfact for info).

b) It's all someone else's fault.

c) Look over there - Labour are chickens they won't call an election - nothing to see here about me missing the deadline I said I would die in a ditch for.
