The most useless PPE is Boris's face mask. He can't catch it and he can't spread it in droplets from his mouth or nose. But still he wears it.

Too many cowboys selling masks and sanitisers — almost every site I log on to for stationery, ink, DIY stuff, etc, seems to be offering PPE, wipes and gel. Frankly with prices ranging from 25p to £10 a mask and gel and solution from £5 to £25 I doubt any of it would be more than a confidence booster...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

I am quite sure that there is a time and a place to deal with blame and recrimination.

It certainly appears that goods have been supplied that do not match the specification as set out in the purchase order.
It certainly appears that the equipment is not of the highest standard as required for use by front line NHS staff
This however is a long way from saying that it is defective or useless.
So to me, the obvious question to ask where and how it can be used and to make available or sell this equipment to supply those areas than can properly make use of it.

So whole lot of money wasted and a govt trade advisor involved, still it's on the BBC so must be rubbish.
