Corbyn clearly had a blind spot when it came to anti-Semitism.

I don't believe he was a foaming at the mouth holocaust denier.

But i do think he didn't take it as seriously as he should have partly because his long term association with the Palestinian cause brought him into contact with the language and ideas on a regular basis.  After a while surrounded by such ideas it becomes harder to identify them easily.

You don't like being on the same side as them?

Doesn't change that you are.

I don't like people who say "bankers", "minorities" and "globalists" and mean something else.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you don't realise that historically when people said then things you've just been saying they really mean "Jewish people".
Righto.
So you don't like Jewish people either.

You could always vote Labour I suppose.
I have no problem with people being Jewish.  I don't see what religion a person happens to follow or not follow as a particularly important part of their character.

I don't believe there is or ever was any kind of secret Jewish conspiracy to rule the world

However you used the word "either".

"You don't like X either" is an explicit admission the speaker doesn't like X.

Just to clear up any ambiguity.

Do you think there is a Jewish conspiracy  involving bakers and trans national organisations to rule the world?

I didn't bring up the Nazis, you did.

They, amongst other groups kthey were not the first or the last), have used the "banker conspiracy" trope in the past which is precisely why we must be careful when throwing around ideas about conspiracies run by bankers and globalists.

Margaret Hodge virtually led the campaign against Corbyn and is the nastiest hypocrite of all BTW.

I have wondered for some time if she is one of those who took a bung from Netanyahu.

Like Corbyn becoming (I'd like to think inadvertently) anti-Semitic after decades of associating with the Palestinian movement

So you know where to shove that BS lie. Margaret Hodge virtually led the campaign against Corbyn and is the nastiest hypocrite of all BTW.

Quote from: Sheepy on September 09, 2020, 06:41:35 PMAre you denying. it is used as a political excuse to cover for your own failings? Or even the darker side of your own politics?
Now who's swerving?

I'm curious as to why you're leaping to Baff's defense. I'm sure he's prefextly capable of explaining his words.

Have I inadvertently touched a nerve in your own politics?

Let's be honest, Brexit seems to have garnered disproportionate support from unequivocally far right groups.

Like Corbyn becoming (I'd like to think inadvertently) anti-Semitic after decades of associating with the Palestinian movement, those associating with Brexit must guard against becoming (again, I'd like to think inadvertently) anti-Semitic from association with the far right elements of Brexit support.

Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

He might have but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Are you disputing that people have used the terms "bankers" and "globalists" in the context of "conspiring...to impose their rule over us" to mean "Jewish people"?

Are the majority of the EU27 pro EU?
They said the same thing about us too.

Minorities.
Let's see...

Here are some examples of minorities that could not fulfill their agenda under UK democracy and have looked to the EU as a superior medium to those ends.

The greens.
The socialists.
The bankers.
The press.
The politicians.
The Euro federalists.
The globalists.
The secessionists.
The anti Americans.
The remainers.

Time to get your tinfoil hat on and beware where ranting about "bankers" and "globalists" gets you.
