There have been some pro unity of Spain marches in Madrid which were peaceful. The trouble in Spain is in Cataluña over separatism being denied.

I just think that people dying over carbon taxes is just ridiculous and horrible. Perhaps before we all go Carbon Neutral in 2050 the scientists will have moved in another direction to save the planet.

"The 2019 Chilean protests are ongoing civil protests throughout Chile in response to a raise in the Santiago Metro's subway fare,"

On the 18th of October, the situation escalated as organized bands of protesters rose in rebellion across the city, seizing many stations of the Santiago Metro network (part of Red) and disabling them with extensive infrastructure damage, ultimately disabling the network in its entirety. In total, 81 stations have been damaged, with 17 burned down"



They don't seem to have any metro now, so the protests have moved the situation on from expensive metro to burnt down metro.

Spain has offered to host the United Nations' climate change summit after the Chilean government pulled out on Wednesday from holding the event. The global environmental conference, known as COP25, was meant to be held in the Chilean capital of Santiago but anti-government protests, which have left dozens dead, hundreds of injuries and caused significant damage to the city, have forced the Chilean government to cancel.



Seems that the predicted casualties have already started.
