or the fact Burnham is an idiot?

...but dynamis isnt saying the council are being idiots.

Hes making the point the councils priorities are wrong

And am I wrong?

When the country is falling apart, why are drag hunting (ok fox hunting may have been inaccurate) groups being given money?

Why is Hastings council wasting money on a COVID pavement widening scheme?

Why is Burnham wasting money as Crom says in Manchester on that stupid idiotic idea?

Why did those idiots in Glasgae give backhanders?

Your either/or political point scoring is countered with two wrongs do not a right make.

What does Boris have with council activities? NOTHING.

So they're not part of the same party?

I'm saying it's a waste of money..

Well I don't know that it's envy as such, more I think political differences and point scoring I'd have thought something we all indulge in.

We do.

Thats the point im making. Its political point scoring , rather than the council doing anythng wrong.

...and im making counter political point scoring .
Good for you

👍

The only criticism that's fair here is that 'fox hunting' was misleading, I think it should've been named drag hunting.

Which plies they're hunting men in drag. ;D

So why should fox hunting groups be singled out by dynamis? Well it's a political forum and he doesn't like them or their policies.

They aren't a "fox hunting group"

Good to see you back btw Ken

Plenty of those locally for the last few months.

Well I guess where some people see the beauty of nature some see only vermin, my better half feeds her seagull family everyday and has watched them grow up, the other day she said come and look at this, where she puts the food for her seagull family on a table by the backdoor was a vixen happily eating it, she didn't look like vermin from where I was standing.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Awesome - Priorities straight, I'm very pleased with Bojo's progress so far.

This, hard Brexit, next week the annual upper class twit of the year and uncommon wealth games, one simply cannot wait to don the monocle and cheer them on.

Priorities dear boy, priorities

Fox hunting has been banned for years.

Hes making the point the councils priorities are wrong , with the usual class envy thing  and anti tory insinuation , rather than this is some payment in error by idiotic council officials , so im not sure what your example is meant to be in comparison to.

Burnham might very well be an idiot , but if he handed out government covid cash to the socialist workers of manchester to keep the local club going under the governments eligibility criteria , then he would , like this council be perfectly entitled to do so.

Sure so its purely class envy , rather than the money from a covid payment is that right?

Glad we understand it then.

Nothing much is said though by the brit left when we trawl up old stories such as this  , where a labour council gave an outrageous backhander payout to former social worker and labour official  Davie crawford.( and other labour party officials)

Quote
'Outrageous' £600k pay-off
OPPOSITION councillors have hit out at a £600,000 "exit package" paid to a former Glasgow council official

Councillor Hendry called on Labour leader Gordon Matheson to justify the sums.
He said: "These figures will be horrifying to Glasgow taxpayers.
"For one person in social work to get a package of over half a million pounds in the same year that the vulnerable elderly are forced to pay for safety alarms and adults with learning disabilities are thrown out of their day centres is callous.

QuoteTHE senior council official in charge of dealing with poverty and neglect in Glasgow has received a golden goodbye worth almost £600,000 - the equivalent of a pound for every man, woman and child in the city.
When director of social work David Crawford took early retirement aged 54 in December, he left with an exit package valued at £589,000, accounts reveal.
It included a £109,217 payment as "compensation for loss of office" from the £129,000-a-year post, with the rest boosting his pension. While Crawford had a 33-year career in social work, he joined Labour-led Glasgow City Council only in 2007.
The SNP and Tories have raised questions over the deal, given that Crawford was immediately replaced and the social work department is suffering budget cut

Well it's not like councils of various persuasions don't waste money, still I like Spikes verdict

sure but the article says this cromwell...

QuoteFinance director James Walton said: "The council has provided business grants in line with government eligibility criteria and so, if the business is in receipt of Small Business Rate Relief, they are eligible for a Small Business Grant for Covid-19."

This sounds like a nice anti tory article by dynamis over the dreaded lefty obsession of anti foxhunting to hand wring over.

If we are going to flag up this use of covid cash , then we should also trawl through the billions that have been said to be given out in error and fraud to others equally if not more undeserving.

Many of them old school working class labour voters.

Whatever your political background or status in society , i havent seen too many people who were shy in having their hands out for every bit of government cash and help they could scrounge , so why should fox hunting groups be singled out by dynamis?
So why should fox hunting groups be singled out by dynamis? Well it's a political forum and he doesn't like them or their policies.

Where I live we have Burnhams effing bike lanes, not just a narrow lane but a whole vehicle lane cordoned off and hardly a bike in sight and when there is it's usually ridden on the pavement, meanwhile people travelling to and from work are stuck in long queues wasting fuel.

So if I brought that up would I be singling out cyclists or the fact Burnham is an idiot?
