Burnham might very well be an idiot , but if he handed out government covid cash to the socialist workers of manchester to keep the local club going under the governments eligibility criteria , then he would , like this council be perfectly entitled to do so.

Nothing much is said though by the brit left when we trawl up old stories such as this  , where a labour council gave an outrageous backhander payout to former social worker and labour official  Davie crawford.( and other labour party officials)

When director of social work David Crawford took early retirement aged 54 in December, he left with an exit package valued at £589,000, accounts reveal.
It included a £109,217 payment as "compensation for loss of office" from the £129,000-a-year post, with the rest boosting his pension. While Crawford had a 33-year career in social work, he joined Labour-led Glasgow City Council only in 2007.
The SNP and Tories have raised questions over the deal, given that Crawford was immediately replaced and the social work department is suffering budget cut

This sounds like a nice anti tory article by dynamis over the dreaded lefty obsession of anti foxhunting to hand wring over.

If we are going to flag up this use of covid cash , then we should also trawl through the billions that have been said to be given out in error and fraud to others equally if not more undeserving.

Many of them old school working class labour voters.

Whatever your political background or status in society , i havent seen too many people who were shy in having their hands out for every bit of government cash and help they could scrounge , so why should fox hunting groups be singled out by dynamis?

Where I live we have Burnhams effing bike lanes,not just a narrow lane but a whole vehicle lane cordoned off and hardly a bike in sight and when there is it's usually ridden on the pavement, meanwhile people travelling to and from work are stuck in long queues wasting fuel.

So if I brought that up would I be singling out cyclists or the fact Burnham is an idiot?
