Looks like Sharon has been eating Stephen's dinners  :)

The DWP restored Mr Smith's payments. The poor bastard did not die from hunger. He died because he was friendless.

You really are crass, it is not subject for your idiotic levity.

Well I laughed.

Tell you what Pappy, we will meet in the middle. I will shed a quiet tear for Stephen Smith (which is clearly nothing his neighbours did) and you can contact Sharon and set up as her personal trainer so as to burn off some of her lard. Fair?

:D

Chins up sharon.

the uk has one of the most generous benefits sytems in the entire world.

Whose propaganda have you swallowed hook line and sinker? Anyone who states UK benefits are generous shows at total ignorance of the reality since May 2010.
The DWP eventually had to admit this report is factually accurate.

The United Nations has accused the UK government of unnecessarily causing a "social calamity" with an "austerity experiment" which has forced millions of people into poverty, causing record levels of hunger, homelessness, and decreased life expectancy for some.

But the government has rejected the findings, insisting that the country is "one of the happiest places in the world."

"UK standards of wellbeing have descended precipitately in a remarkably short period of time, as a result of deliberate policy choices made when many other options were available," said Philip Alston, the UN's special rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, in a report published on 22 May.1

It is often said that the best doctors are Doctor Exercise, Doctor Diet and Doctor Happiness.

Pappy's neighbours appear to have walled him up in his home where he is eating himself to death and he will never smile again because the Tories refuse to prescribe them on the NHS.

Now that Boris has cancelled Christmas it remains to be seen if Pappy will be around to miss it. :)

Maybe the DWP are just sick of being harrassed by minority politically motivated pressure groups and just prefer to try to get on with their job.

Their job?  Hostile environment for claimants, ignoring coroners notices to prevent further deaths, and despite court judgements against them  and the information commissioner ordering them to publish off-flows due to deaths, they have been prevaricating for years.
The DWP needs shutting down.

you are always moaning about benefits in thes islands , but the uk has one of the most generous benefits sytems in the entire world.

Although we ranked 18 out of the 35 OECD nations , most nations on this earth either pay little to no benefits  in comparison, and those that do , many only pay benefits out to those who have mde NI type payments , which are then stopped after a certain amount of time and replaced with a flat out extremely basic benefit at a far lower level.

If im not mistaken , from memory the uk has the only non contributary benefit system in the entire EU. Healthcare being a prime example.

I think it about time you start being thankfull for what the uk does have  , instead of moaning you want more and more of what you dont have.

We all want something for nothing  , but that isnt the real world.

Administering the payments of hard earned taxpayers cash to the less fortunate in society. I'm sure they are doing their best.

Doing their best to kill off one way or another as many as they think they can get away with before it gets noticed.  Unfortunately for them they reached that line and crossed it back in 2013.
