The heads of MI5 and MI6 both report to the PM and Foreign Secretary.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Churchill

The difference between them is MI5 protect the Home Front led by Captain Mannering , MI6 usually work outside of the UK led by Miss Marple, :ZIP:  I cant say anymore walls have ears, I found one in my ice cream last week.

I do admire anyone who tries to take Papasmurf's inventions seriously. He is wired differently to the rest of us, and on the very rare occasions he makes any sense or actually gets something right, it is invariably by pure accident.  ;)  ;)

I suggest you check exactly what MI5 and MI6 are tasked to do. (You would not believe anything I reference.)

I beg to differ the Home Secretary of the day has authority over and for the Secret Service M15 and MI6, it is directed by the Joint Intelligence Committee, monitored closely by the Intelligence Security Committee made up of Member of Parliament who are appointed by the Prime Minster of the day.

One major reason I do not want either Corbyn or McDonnell to be in No 10 at any time

I suggest you check what MI5 and MI6 are actually tasked to do the fact is somewhat different to your perception.

Personally Boris Johnson is a bigger threat to the realm than Corbyn or McDonnell.

Fortunately no politician is in charge of the British security services, however they are not as "rogue," as the French version who there is a suspicion they have killed some French politicians.

What does successful mean?

Labour might be successful by winning the elections.

And pigs might be successful by lifting off and flying.

Its going the rounds beneath a picture of Big Di looking either contemplative or vacant (they both look the same). The full quote is 'We in the Labour Party have costed this policy very carefully and we are going to borrow enough to pay off the entire national debt'. I posted it originally in the Jokes and Humour section but now I'm not so sure! You don't have to be particularly gullible to believe she could actually have said it.

The other Big Di 'p*** take' is the headline news that 'Diane Abbott has resigned from her role as Chief Accountant and Financial Planning Officer of Thomas Cook'.

The terrifying reality though is that Big Di if Labour were to win the GE, would be in charge of MI5 and the police service!!! Can you even begin to imagine?

Yes, Major. We know that she has a problem with maths. Her famous costing of extra police officers being one of the worst examples. There is plenty of evidence of her ineptitude and her unsuitability for any office requiring maths GCSE, without making stuff up.

There's enough fake news without Wiggles making it up. Unless, of course, I am mistaken, and a reliable link is provided to a report or video where she actually said it, it's just extra silly noise in a boring election campaign.

we need a simple easier understood system that is fair to all not a punitive system.

Seriously, such a thing is impossible. It's complicated to make it fair. If it were less complicated then it could have holes in it that could be exploited, hence honest taxpayers pay tax of those who use a loophole.

That's not to say one couldn't improve it. The worst thing is when government tries to distort the market with the tax system to get votes. Taking this out would simplify it to a point and boost the economy, but it wouldn't half make some people scream. You have a lot of socialist stuff "designed to help people" but it is always to a greater loss to the rest.

Yes. But which political party. I speak as one savaged by John majors tax rottweilers for the crime of trying to put bed and breakfast accomodation near my clients as a busin as expense and being told I couldn't possibly be using it for a business use while I was sleeping.

Today if course I know exactly what to do to take down such arse holes. Then, I was still green and did not understand the game

It did  teach me the Tory tax inspectors were not the friends of small business

Tax collectors are the same people in place no matter which party is in Government they simply apply enforce the legislation that past or present Governments have put in place to give them the authority to do so.

Gordon Brown altered the tax system when Labour were in power he made a complicated system even more complicated and confusing, we need a simple easier understood system that is fair to all not a punitive system.

If Corbyn wins the GE I dread to think what he will do , highly likely he will squeeze the workers, businesses, savers investors as hard as he can for every penny he can, he will need to for what he says he will do.
