Don't remember if I've seen Niven as Bond, but I have read a couple of his books: The Moon's a Balloon and Bring On the Empty Horses — really enjoyable, up to Ustinov's standard...

Niven played SIR james Bond in the wierdest Bond film I ever saw, Casino Royale.  With orson welles as the bad guy, and a UFO, and well lok, go find it on youtube or something
<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

Funnily enough, despite his reputation for putting it about (or maybe because of it), my mum and her mates would sit in front of the telly and get all glassy eyed with delight when David Niven appeared  :)

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

HELP!  I can't find the box to untick and feel as if I have moved to Australia.

Found it - breathe again!

The same happened to me.
I have gone into my settings and unticked the box and it's back to normal, but I didn't tick it in the first place.

Oh sob!!  :'( :'(

I don't normally dwell on the obituaries but I hadn't realised he was 90 and for me he was the benchmark 007. He didn't have a good press with his women apparently so I can't speak for the man but as James Bond - well I guess I loved him.

It has not. Post order is in your settings. You've been fiddling, haven't you?

Connery was a great actor and a big influence. His pronunciation of some words was highly individual. (Shh, don't tell anyone else about thish)
I thought I'd starting drinking early, not touched the settings and the same has happened to me.
Energy....secure and affordable, not that hard is it?

Don't believe everything you think.

He's the real 007 for my Mum, though Roger Moore was the more jokey. Got me wondering how many of the others I could name (I cheated and googled): Barry Nelson, David Niven, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig...

I was surprised to see David Niven in there he obviously had no impact at all on me. The others were all a bit wet until we got to Daniel Craig. Now that was a different calibre altogether in many ways. He seemed to give 007 a heart but no sense of humour. Oh well onwards and upwards - shaken but not stirred.
