Attempting the caper while on duty and in uniform shows the Cambs force is not so much part of the community as the Met. Round here the complaint of many local store owners has been hints are dropped that discounts would be appreciated.
OK for the occasional bagel, coffee, or donut to show appreciation. But substantial on furniture, hobs and other homeware...

Hints? In Stoke Newington? If you put the local frummas into a gas chamber they would ask for 10% off the Zyklon B and a further reduction for cash.

I am just curious as to how this heinous act came to light, so long after the event......
Did Mr Cohen reconcile his stock inventory and find one box of doughnuts light and one carrot too many?

It does make you wonder. At a local store that shall be nameless although it is in fact Habitat, swapping price tags was so common that I thought it was compulsory. God knows how folk will manage with this new fashion for shopping online.

First off the mans not only an idiot but a disgrace to the uniform  and should be prosecuted to the full force of the law.
As to discounts they are legitimately available  not to just police officers but many others https://www.bluelightcard.co.uk

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Barry

Very expensive doughnuts.
Will cost him his job if found proved. He should also go to court for attempted theft, IMO.

QuoteThe hearing is to be held in public. However, in consideration of the increased health risk to
members of the public due to COVID-19, the public interest dictates that members of the public and
media should be prevented from attending in person.
