Yeah ok Nostradamus

I don't need to be a soothsayer. The UK/EU talks have failed and the Tories have sold out to America.

If it wasn't for people obsessing over "maths and calculus" we wouldn't have computers, we wouldn't have modern medicine, we wouldn't have most of modern science. If instead society relied on grumpy old reactionaries pontificating from their armchairs, we wouldn't even have armchairs.

Oh shut up you hysterical old fishwife.

If this lock down continues you may well be right. I need the golf course, and I need it badly. Another sport invented by the English

Look about you wiggy. Everything around you is subsidised by us , your favourite national drinks like whiskey and gin invented and produced by us , and your favourite pastime was another little trifle invented by us .

What do you people actually do for this one sided union except sit on the take in every field?

You are such an old begging socialist wiggy on the take non stop.

Maybe thats why you always go on about socialists and those on benefits , as you secretly know you live off scottish benefits that provides you with the food to fuel that ample 62 inch girth.

There are some good posters on this forum , in among the banter there are some excellent points often raised , and then there are the wiggles of the world , and one or two others who are basically 16 year old kids on here for a laugh and a wind up.

62 year old kid, thank you !!

Only 8%, no wonder the Scots got the reputation of being tight

Wiggy i meant to say , scotland is a country under the terms of devolution that has no borrowing powers.

Yet since 2012 , we have paid £16.5 billion pounds in debt interest?

Whose debt are we paying  then?

Must be you kid on hard right english socialists debt eh?

All talk mate so ye are about stnading on your own two feet and moaning about scroungers. Biggest feckin scroungers in europe.

So, are you trying to tell me you wish you were English, and do you think giving up the empire was a mistake. I tend to agree with you that England has owned Scotland for too long, and it's time you should be owned by some one else. The EU sounds like a good idea

Like you said, all this Brit proselytizing, it's about hanging on to the remnants of some history you never lived through, nor appreciated or had any part in, and which in all likelihood fecked your parents over good n proper..and if you gave them a choice they'd dump it in the Thames so quickly.

Their "it was sh*t but at least it wasn't as sh*t as..." whataboutery bollocks can be dismissed out of hand.

But I have to concede that the very typically English deep loathing 'of every fibre of their being' stuff being espoused on here is funny.. in how pathetic it is.

You can tell that nearly all these people are real chairborne infantry types.

I agree , and the biggest vitriol comes on forums like this from the armed chairborne types dreaming of an empire better men than them built , and which lesser men like them lost.

However there is a number , and has been in the past , of people who are or were curent serving soldiers. Many of them have had mixed views on brexit.

Deppity dawg is one , and as far as i recall , he was a remainer , and his only argument like mine was the uk government got itself into a pickle and thus had to honour the referendum , no other way was possible for them to renege without destroying the illusion of uk democracy.

It can be funny at times ,sometimes its not.

I agree though , i cant understand a country who one minute tells us they are the pinnacle of the european continents community in terms of friendship and honour who fought valiantly to rid europe of evil  ,and the next sticking two fingers up to our european brethern while looking down their nose at the hun and frog in disgust and contempt while telling us we cant have an indy ref to leave their union .( but the eu union is bad really bad   )

Talk about a complete moral and political paradox.

Ah so another backward step as the information keeps pouring in to shatter your claims about subsidising the sweaties bob down the pub told you he read in the sun?

Now is this a roundabout way of admitting we subsidise you , this time in your infrastructure projects , and that we are merely being tight for not giving poor londoners money to build their wee train set?

Since 1999 , the uk treasurey has received £937 billion of scottish taxpayers money , and we have received back only £511 billion to spend.

I thought you said you subsidised us wiggy?

Your argument is starting to dissappear quicker than snaw aff a dyke in the warm glaswegian sunshine in the costa govan.
