Hi, Alf here with a few things to say.

1) It was a Labour MP who said the oil would run out in 1994. Labour MP's are stupid, and I thought everyone knew that.

2) We don't have to produce anything, we have the square mile

3) Your deficit is 7%, ours is 1%

4) Glasgow may produce turnover, but they give to all the beggars who line the streets. Horrible place, I'v been there

The strange thing is that we actually agree with each other. We both want Scotland to leave the UK

1.labour/ tory who cares two cheeks of the same british arse.

2.Aye we know , you are more reliant on serivices than any other nation in the G7. Eggs all in one basket is never a good idea.

3. Our alleged deficit include paying 9% of your 1.8 trillion debt and above average defence contributions where we are forced to contribute 3.5 billion but only 1.7 billion is spent in scotland.

The point is why is a 7% deficit  , allegedly , bad for us , but a higher deifict wasnt for you in the years i mentioned?

4. Dont come back please, you arent welcome.

5. we do.so what?

Oh f**k off.

You lived in a caravan and had to rent out your house? I spent most of the 70s in squats because that was all there was going. You worked at crap jobs? I shoveled the stuff because that was the only work available. And there were never sit ins at the DHSS Chancel House Neasden because of course all benefit payments were made on time and without any fuss. And where the f**k did you get the idea that council housing was sold off cheap? Bollocks. They cost telephone numbers. With the reduction the local authorities were forced to make the number was smaller, but still a telephone number. We and a lot of our friends bought our properties not to sell on or save on rent (on the old forum you guys kindly explained how I

was making a fantastic saving on rent. It was 20 years before my mortgage payments were less than my old rent) but because we were sick of being patronised by the well meaning arseholes at the Town Hall.

But maybe I am imagining all this. After all, this was during the reign of Harold Wilson and Sunny Jim Callaghan. How could anyone have had any cares during their socialist utopia?

QuoteOh f**k off.

Oh dear we are upset,if you were hoping for some reaction sorry to disappoint

Really because employment prospects in London in that era were good unless you were spectacularly unfit for work or one of the lazy sods you moan about.

My other halfs best mate left the north west in the 70's for London and found work more easily available and renting easily if not always salubrious and bought a place in what was not one of the fashionable places but became one and made a killing.

QuoteWe and a lot of our friends bought our properties not to sell on or save on rent
I don't give a rats why you bought it house prices in London are stellar.

QuoteBut maybe I am imagining all this.
I dunno maybe I'm imagining all the times you told us you worked or rather didn't for HMRC, if in your younger days and lived in squats maybe you were the feckless you always moan about too.

Agree. Instead of stomping my feet and complaining about minors losing their jobs, I took advantage of what was on the table. Bought a house a never looked back. The stupid socialists continued to rent their houses, and are still doing it now. So how could my wife and I afford to buy a house, through bloody hard work, that's how !

I'll tell you about what I like thanks very much, and yeah and I've had my share too when saint Maggie came to power had to live in a caravan and rent the house out to avoid losing it,and worked in crap jobs because I had to.

Still you in London were OK saint mags let you buy your council house at bargain basement prices and sell them later at exhorbitant prices, anyway whatever the case those in need then got their unemployment benefit without question that is not the case now and you know it so don't talk as though nothing's changed.

Sing what you like but don't tell me people with health problems can just get a job I actually thought you better than that other one on here.

The central belt is producing as much wealth as the richer english regions  , glasgow for example is as far from aberdeen as it is from newcastle so what are you talking about?

Stop talking bollocks wiggy down there in alf garnetstan.

Unlike other countries like our neighbours across the water in scandinavia , the uk lets the private sector "dig up " the oil.

Remember when labour mp tony benn told us the oil would run out by 1994?

per head of population we sell more than twice as much as you do at £17 455 to your paltry £8 626.

What do you actually make and sell except colmans english mustard and a bit of morris dancing shows for some rich chinese tourists?

Every country on earth runs a deficit including yours.

Governments dont operate like households . In 2010 2011 and 2012 for example , your country ran a bigger deficit than the 7% allegedly attributed to scotland in the dodgy tory GERS figures.

Where were you alf then? Were you calling on westminster to give up independence and hand control over to the europeans because you had a much bigger deficit hanging around your necks?

Oh i see. Thanks for the input alf.

And this report illustrates why doing so or getting support is not how it once was,you are living in the past regarding how easy it is for people to find work or claim benefits.

These are ordinary people who worked and contributed and were thrown out of work through no fault of their own and as is their right when they asked for support many were denied and badly let down.
