I'll hazard a guess that any identified hacking will cause some excitement, but as UK political parties aren't as clued up — or using the digital environment as much as some other countries — it's unlikely to directly affect the general election outcome. Whereas covering up findings could...

I know that because I do have lots of info from elsewhere and continually check Wiki's accuracy. The only times I see it falls down is when it has our Newspapers as references. If it is a subject not covered by our Newspapers, then it is generally excellent. Wikipedia's policy is to quote the source, so if it is re-reported in a newspaper and the original source is available, the policy is to skip the Newspaper's interpretation and get it from the horse's mouth. One time they did not do that and quoted the Russian owned independent and were wrong. In these instances I intervene in the editing.

It is common knowledge what the fuss is about and who is doing the complaining the media and the Governments opponents  is there something in the report that the Government does not want to come out just yet, or on the other hand something that cannot be published in full ,I have no idea so not going to try and guess.
