WTO terms will be a disaster for Britain.  That has been explained many times with references and also by experts on TV/radio current affairs programs in the last few days.
WTO terms won't mean GB/UK will sink without trace, or revert to a third world country.

But a no-deal Brexit at this time is likely to cause a series of business and individual disasters, and generally increase the cost of living — probably for a number years.
Nevertheless, one positive thing might be the decrease in the poverty rate — currently the poverty line in the UK is set at 60 per cent of the median UK household income. If the median household income falls, the poverty line also falls.
Let's hope the likely inflation in food prices doesn't hit the fixed pensions of the elderly...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Looks like Pap's wrapped this thread up and refuted everyone's arguments, fair enough.

I heard a discussion yesterday where they were bemoaning an increase in Brie and one chap said the British will simply change their diet and eat more British Cheddar. If we have any sense we will go out of our way to support home grown right across the board and leave the EU to their food mountains.

Anyone who thinks Cheddar can replace Brie is an idiot. Totally different cheese for different purposes.
In any case Brie is also produced in Britain:-

Here's a thought Pappy, fish prices come down to a reasonable level and the UK buys and eats more fish!!

WOW, revolutionary.

Nick in general terms British people do not eat the premium fresh fish and shell fish caught by the British fishing industry.
You are falling into the same trap as George Useless.

Fish 10%, lamb and beef up to 65%. This has all been detailed and referenced many times and is again being explained on TV/radio current affairs to-day.

So f**king what?

Barely 0.6% of UK trade comes from farming and the major occupation of British farmers is cashing the subsidy cheques that the rest of the country works its arse off to pay the moaning bastards.

In the highly unlikely event of any sort of trade war then more British farm produce will have to be sold in the UK where the UK consumer will benefit from lower prices.

Oh dear your ignorance is frightening.  (Seriously.) I only gave fishing an farming as an expample.

I suggest you remove your head from your fundement and start keeping up with the detailed information  being given out on current affairs programs .
(Been wall to wall again on TV and Radio again this morning.)

The tariffs that will be applied to British goods when exported is a matter of public record.

Since you repeat your arguments I will therefore similarly reply
You always dismiss references, experts and the media as lies and propaganda..........when it doesn't agree with you.

Those tariffs will bankrupt a significant number if British fishermen and farmers.

If the UK leaves the EU without a trade deal it will have to trade on WTO terms.
