Is it anything like when they offered Saville one or possibly when they offered BXP hero Claire Fox a peerage, where she's a defender of comments too awful to mention on here? Or is it different now and have they somehow reformed, is it better, worse? Maybe it's offensive to some, but then maybe some find it offensive that really nasty people like Saville got a peerage in the first place, apparently he liked all kinds of weird beastiality and other things.. bad news.

The Palace adequately explains their position in your link . They have removed honours from people  found to bring themselves into disrepute .

does anyone take much notice of what labour says and who or what they say is offensive?

Kate green now with the empire , yesterday it was lady nugee and white van man with his england flag , and many years ago , glasgow labour council did everything they could to hide the remains of executed scottish rebels baird and hardie from the 1820 rebellion buried in sighthill cemetry in glasgow as they too found if offensive.

If its not hand wringing over nelson mandela or BLM , pulling down a statue or two , or erecting the latest statue to whatever trendy champagne socialist or "working class martyr" they deem acceptable , then labour dont seem to want to know.

I'm curious to know what Scottish nationalists think should happen to the Order of the British Empire.  Being British-English I think it's time for the honour to be renamed mainly because we no longer have an empire apart from Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands so it just seems an anachronism.

Well we wouldn't want to offend anyone Ducky, although more and more people refuse them these days anyway, mainly because they don't want to be associated with the people who get them normally.

im not british , so for me personaly i couldnt give a feck . Its like me asking you , an englishman , what the french should do with the order of the french empire.

This is labour here we are talking about , and im merely laughing the same labour tell us the same thing about scottish traditions or honours as they are telling the anglo british in this.

We dont have slavery anymore either , but this doesnt stop labour bringing up stuff like blm every second or wandering around apologising for the behaviour of yours and my ancestors hundreds of years ago.

Ms Green told the BBC's Nick Robinson she had thought hard before accepting an OBE for services to charity and welfare for her work in helping children as chief executive of the Child Poverty Action Group and before that as director of the National Council for One Parent Families.

She said she decided to take the honour, which she received five years before she entered Parliament in 2010, because it "thrilled" her father.

Ms Green has not mentioned if she will be returning her own OBE but I assume that can be taken as a given
