No idea but it's not an insurmountable problem. Buy sausages and a garlic clove and cook together. Job done!

My wife does some shopping for a couple "confined to barracks," because of Covid-19.  For the last few weeks my wife has been unable to buy garlic sausage anywhere.
Does anyone know the reason for the garlic sausage shortage?
