1971 was THE year for Rock music. Gems like Led Zeppelin IV; Sticky Fingers; Who's Next; The Yes Album; LA Woman; Imagine etc etc   Out of that year's releases, ELPs 'Tarkus' stands out for me. Not everyone's cup of tea but, who cares?

Now I do like to look out for the unusual and I have been exploring traditional style Mongolian/Siberian music for a little while.
Then I found these guys!
Take a bunch of Classically/Traditionally Trained Mongolian Musicians and Throat Singers and combine with good Heavy Rock and you have The HU!
I think this is most exciting new sound I have heard in a very long time
The word Hu incidentally is an ancient Chinese Term used to describe all those that lived beyond the North Western Walls, I doubt it was a complimentary term!

Very interesting. There are few things that get me mentally choreographing anymore but my creative juices started up straight away with that. The time signature was a bit mundane and dull but the rest was fresh. I have used a lot of ethnic music in my time purely for the way it often leaves boring pop behind and there is some great stuff around. Thank you for sharing.

Classic Stones. I'd be disappointed if they didn't play that at a concert.

I am thinking perhaps that it might be a good idea to dedicate some Rolf Harris song or other to Prince Andrew.

But on second thoughts, perhaps best not to post links to the material of dodgy characters.
We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

Well I don't know about that, but I bet many would be delighted to find them in their Christmas stocking. I am sure pink news might not think so.
They look like they are loving every minute of it anyway.
There was once a time 25 years ago when I was still only 31, when I would have welcomed the Spice Girls in my Christmas stocking. But it would most definitely not have been their singing talents which would have interested me.  :)

Big Country from a New Year concert in the 83. It was televised live
Harvest Home. Exceedingly magnificent. The band were obviously enjoying playing, the crowd were absolutely enjoying the performance
