Seriously I really think a lot of people did not realise the implications.  (However anyone who watches the various airport/border security programs on Freeview would know. There will be a vast range of food stuffs banned crossing borders.)

Those are the regulations for non EU citizens entering the EU , those regulations will apply to everyone not just truck drivers.
Those regulations will also apply on entering Britain from the EU so I won't be able to bring any donkey salami back with me from Brittany.
I read a customs notice about it some time ago.

Lorry drivers will be forbidden from taking a ham and cheese sandwich – or other meat and dairy products – into the EU from the UK from January 1, even if they intend to eat while they're driving. The new rules are apparently part of plans to create a 'biosecure border' after Brexit.
