Boris as Mayor was much better than that Grinning Fool Livingstone

If you accept Nick's metrics, then he was very popular as mayor according to many polls; and he came within a cat's whisker of Bojo at the polls.

Oddly enough, non-Londoners seem to have the strongest opinions on Ken as mayor.

If you want to, let's go through it together.

Are you up for that?

It's the same thing as May's with mildly diluted regs, workers rights, and really the only difference is to do with Ireland. Farage was completely correct.

Oh he is a Johnson alright. I remember exactly what he was like as London mayor. Let's not forget his stint as foreign sec.

I'm not going to lie or distort things; Lab's idea of a cabinet, with the likes of Abbott - who is a good local politician but so so useless as a national one  - is slightly scary..

.. But we're comparing Boris...yes Boris, and Patel, Truss, Javid (who worked for DB during the scandal years).

I'm honestly worried whether we'll wake up one day and find capitalism has been abolished in favour of 'britannia unhinged' style libertarianism - welcome to 'muricatannia.

Most people seem to think Boris did a pretty good as London Mayor, do tell us of your experience of him as it clearly differs from the majority.

I don't think so. Both Withdrawal Agreements are available online and they differ substantially in their content so I stand by  the "European Commission spokesperson" is lying.

QuoteI dare say he is. It's not a clean break, WTO exit, but only 10% of people want that, apparently. You have to pick your battles.

Is spelling Boris as Bloris, intentional? If so I suggest Mr Johnson should be used by plebs like us.  :-P

Meh, I know you know far better than that from your posts, but you're being semi-willingly misled by Bojo..

QuoteFarage was, for once in his frick'n life, right about Bloris's deal earlier on..

I think the unnamed "European Commission spokesperson" is a either a figment of the Independent's imagination, or the "European Commission spokesperson" is lying, because the new WA says they are.

Sorry but political tribalism is not my thing here, in fact Remain MPs would've voted for May's deal very happily if it wasn't May proposing it. I don't have much time for them either.

His deal is complete rubbish. And the Brexit Party have just sold their souls yet again.

Not content with talking to parties other than the government when deals were being talked about, the EU is now trying to stick it's influence into a countries internal voting system. Roll on the 13th December.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Sheepy

Fair enough, don't give them the satisfaction of splitting the vote.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Well that is unfortunate because that is what elections and this thread is all about.

Not a lot. Doris' deals would have left the EU in control of as much if not more of the UK that it had before. Boris' deal will mean that the only place to be really affected will be Ulster and most mainlanders won't be worried over that.

Most important of all Doris was a remainer. Whatever deal she came up with there was always the thought that she was trying to back the UK into the EU. All Boris wants to do is back himself into number 10 and to do that he knows that he has to shaft Brussels.

I really don't believe Boris's deal is ever going to happen, that's why.

In fact, I believe he made it as unsupportable as possible and then decided to drive things away from that.

Do you ever actually watch proceedings? It is the remainer MP's that have thwarted Leave at every juncture. Well they are now going to be told by the public what they think of them, Soubry and her ilk will be receiving their P45's very soon.

Remove Scotland and take a good look, this is the tiny majority you all talk of, maybe in numbers but in constituencies it was a landslide and the vast majority of leavers will vote for Boris.
