<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

You have most of the fish but no market to sell it into, who would have thought.

I knew it would happen and stated so on the forum a long time ago.

Looking like fishing is in a spot of bother, some fish selling for £8 a box which would normally fetch £40 to £60. Plaice at £1.50p a box. Is this a brexit bonus or a brexit problem...

Feel free to post your other benefits, I'd be only delighted to hear about them.

Ironic how fishing was the key bargaining chip and so much fuss was made over it. You have most of the fish but no market to sell it into, who would have thought.

What bit of there is a shortage of vets don't you understand, there has been a shortage of vets for many years.
Frankly you have no idea, and just keep posting bollocks.

14) Defra estimate an additional 200 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) OVs will be required to certify
export of products of animal origin from Great Britain after the end of the Transition Period.3
However, we are unaware of the assumptions that have been utilised to reach this estimate.
Businesses involved in export certification work, put the number higher requiring at least 350
FTE additional vets.

You've been posting bollocks on this subject for 5 years solid.
It doesn't really matter what you post anymore or what links you give.
If you post it, it's bollocks.

We have no shortage of vets whatsoever.
We have ten's of thousands of them.

Some lobbyist wants more government money for the people who pay him.
Who cares?
It's his job to say that.

What did you think he was going to say?

Baff Vets are needed for live animal and any animal product shipments. These need certification. If one company needs one VET then 10,000 UK companies would need 10,000 Vets. So the clever UK govt have worked out a genius scheme (I have no how idea how they did it) that 200 Govt vets and 50,000 Govt customs officials could look after the whole of the UK exports and imports.
Personally I think the 200 vets is a gross underestimate.
The answer to all your problems is not "the government".

There are 30,000 vets in the country.
Hire one.

It's not rocket science.
You hire a vet, they sign the form. You ship your meat.

So hire one.
It's not like they have anything else to do right now, is it?

It's not like it's peak fishing season for anything.
There is no great glut of unsent meat to the EU after a total of 5 working days... off peak.... during lockdown.

This company doesn't need 50,000 staff, they need one single vet.

And you, you just need something to complain about.
Still trying to prove yourself 4 years on.
Get over yourself already.

Baff you really do not have a clue, there are 200 full time equivalent vets short of what is needed to carry out the inspections and 50000 staff short to deal with the other aspects of exporting to the EU.
You make me very angry, your lack of knowledge of the issues is frightening.

The certificates are issued by vets.
Ring one up if you don't want to wait for the government inspector.
Vets love money.
