Barry you can't mean that! Are you looking at these doctors and nurses who are going out of their minds - they are frantic. What is common sense about your theory?

Good old

Another 1,300+ deaths recorded in a day that follows 1,100+ the day before .It's escalating rapidly. The health system is on the verge of collapse . Not project fear , but a glaring reality.  The rules need to be abided by. And the police should not be needed, but if people are going to refuse to help save lives and by doing so , save a health system from collapse . Then more power to the coppers elbows in pulling people into line.

This is not the way to get it:

Campaigners attending a memorial to the Birmingham pub bombings have been issued with fixed penalty notices for breaching coronavirus restrictions.

Six people, including Julie Hambleton, whose sister Maxine was killed in the 1974 attack, were given the fine for a memorial event on 21 November.

Lawyers acting for the six said the notices would be challenged.

Nor is this the way to get it:

What do you want? The police have been mandated to try to make the latest lockdown effective enough to hold back the numbers currently inundating the hospitals. Those lucky enough to catch the bug and recover are fine but it is proving a killer for too many but even worse is the numbers needing a hospital bed and all the expertise the medics can give. Many are not even getting treatment because there isn't enough while many are not recovering well.

More than that - we are not going to slide into a police state - presumably those complaining so loudly would not have been happy with the blackout in the last war. We don't have the type of government that is going to allow us to be a police state - luckily they are still on the opposition benches. For the poor souls who are getting caught by this the least the rest of us can do is our bit for everyone else. Life is not all about 'me me me'.
